This entire post, will be all about my name...

The Introduction

People say i hav a unique name, its different, weird, long, etc.. etc...

Wher did my parents get this name? Is it juz a random combination of Arabic words? Or mayb even a sentence? A combination of 2 names mayb? Y does it sound soo different? Y is it soo complicated? These r some of the questions ppl may ask me... I simply answer, it was completely taken from someone else...

The Idea

Where did i get the idea to write this post? Read on, n u’ll find out...

23^rd November 2009

I was doing some last minute revision for the agama paper im taking the next day. Juz, normal reading n memorising... Then, while i was reading on the topic “Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jamaah”, i stumbled upon a very familiar name... it was Imam Fakhruddin ar-Razi... then i remembered something my parents said... they say tht my name was taken from an Arabic scholar whom is also an Imam, and this guy, fits perfectly in tht... So, i ask my mom for confirmation and she said yes... So, if thts true, then y isn’t my name Fakhruddinrazi? Why is it Fakhrurrazi? So, i set out on a quest to discover my own name... sounds pretty adventurous ther! :) n also pretty geeky -.-

The History

Now tht i know my name originates form tht guy, i wanna know where did he get his name then? So, i did a background check on him... using Wikipedia... and u wanna know wat i found? If u think Fakhrurrazi is long, n u think Fakhruddin ar-Razi is even longer, then be prepared, be amazed, be shocked and awed... Okay, mayb im juz exaggerating... but still, ure not gonna blive this. His real name was actually Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Umar ibn al-Husayn al-Taymi al-Bakri al-Tabaristani Fakhr al-Din al-Razi. Okay, mayb tht wasn’t only his name, but its still long... He was known as Fakhr al-Din al-Razi or Fakhruddin Razi after his ancestor although his name was actually only Abu Abdullah Muhammad.

Here’s a short on him taken from Wikipedia,

Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Umar ibn al-Husayn al-Taymi al-Bakri al-Tabaristani Fakhr al-Din al-Razi(Arabic/Persian: أبو عبدالله محمد بن عمر بن الحسین فخرالدین الرازي) or Fakhruddin Razi was a well-known Persian Sunni Muslim theologian and philosopher. He was born in 1149 (543 AH) in Ray of Persia (today located in Iran) and died in 1209 (606AH) in Herat (today located in Afghanistan). He also wrote on medicine, physics, astrology, literature, history and law. He should not to be confused with Rhazes, also known as al-Razi.

After hours on the net, i still couldn’t get a picture of him anywhere -.-

Now here are two great quotes by him,

The Meaning

Generally, the meaning of “Fakhr” is “Glory / Pride / Honour”, “al-Din” is “Religion / Faith / Believe (Islam)” and “Razi” is “Satisfied / Contended / Pleased”

So, tht makes the meaning of Fakhruddin Razi “contended for/ satisfied the pride of a religion (Islam)”

And by throwing away the al-Din, n combining the 2 words, it will make Fakhrurrazi, which is obviously my name... the meaning then changed to “contended for/ satisfied one’s pride”

Of cuz u can always change the word “pride” to “glory” / “honour”...

I guess tht explains why i behave the way i do... always full of pride / glory / honour!!! xD

U know wat? After knowing the meaning of “Fakh” being “Glory / Pride / Honour”, i actually welcome those ppl calling me tht... even tho mayb they hav another meaning in their minds -.-

Also, i think its not fair if i juz give the meaning of “Fakhrurrazi” only. So, “Muhammad” means “Praised / Lauded / Commended / Praiseworthy”, “Bin” of cuz being “Son of” and my father’s name “Jamal” which is “Handsome / Attractive / Impressive”.

So, my full name would mean “Praised contended for one’s pride son of handsome” -.- i dun think thts even a sentence.............. still, nobody close to me would call me by my whole name, so i guess its okay...

The Urban Meaning

While i was on the net searching for the meaning of my name, i also found this one on the UrbanDictionary... Although ther r 2 meaning, but the 1^st one is kinda dirty n unappropriate, so i decided to ignore tht 1 n focus on the 2^nd one instead... Below is taken directly of UrbanDictionary.com.

A person described as being superior to everyone in every state possible. Straight up BEAST. Smarter, stronger, faster, even better looking than anyone or anything.

Haha, i admit, it not talking bout a name here, but, it still GREAT! xD

The Conclusion

I guess my parent dun wan me to hav a longer (but much nicer) name for me, they went for Fakhrurrazi instead of Fakhruddin Razi.

Also, my name was taken from a person with a great mind, so i guess i shud live up to his level.

Finally, my name has a great meaing n i blive tht this will take me to a bright future.

Final words form me, no matter what ur name is, whether u like it or not, it still hav a great meaning. Learn to appreciate it as ur parents will. Cuz no good parent will give their sons / daughters a bad name. N i literally mean tht... Thx for reading...

Okay,

First off, not to get too geeky with the title, ill xplain y tht is the title. After awhile of rest, away frm blogging, i suddenly hav the urge to tell the world of this thing i found on the net. Not bcuz its soo great, not bcuz Note: be sure u go to the toilet now if u need to n get ur eyes ready for some moisture, bcuz this is goin 2 be a very long post...

Date: a not so distant past...

The night was getting late, so i dozed off to a good night sleep... zzz... zzz... zzz... Then, i had a dream! It was akward as hell n f*cking weird! Okay, lets skip tht 1...

Then i remember having another! (it shows my memory is quite good xD) its more like a prophecy than a dream to me! dun tell any1 i said tht, ppl will say i teach ajaran sesat! xD kk, continue on...

It begins in a gathering hall... i was sitting down n still figuring out wats happening... looking at my surrounding, looking at ther people (which i still cant recognise then, cuz its kinda blurry) then, someone went up the stage. The face was familiar! But im not telling who... then, when he started talking, i realised... i went on a gathering trip with the form 5s of my yr. When he said tht, the blurry vision started showing real faces n i recognise them all. N not only the form 5s r ther, even the form 1 through 4 too (yea, im startin to miss school life already -.-)... We went to some kinda recreational park or sumthin, it had roller coasters, animals, stalls n more... i still dunno where it is... anyway, this wasn’t really wat made me write this post.. but something else which happened much further in the dream...

After hrs of fun trying different rides n looking at different exhibitions, i got saperated from the group... i dunno how tho, i think i went to the toilet or sumthin xD! And, so far in the dream, evrythin was working out logically, no flying here and ther no teleporting or anything... and you know how dream feels soo real, you dun even realise ur in a dream. I thought i was really lost! SHIT! how do i get home?! Wat if no one realise im gone? Wat if the bus leave me?! (haha, i know its kinda stupid sayin tht in a dream) n also, ‘conveniently’, i din bring my phone -.- or so i thought... i walked around for hrs searchin for the rest of the ppl, even at the meeting points ther were no one ther... and suddenly, thers n urge to look at the time... i think its kinda late... but... i dun remember the time...

Suddenly! Sumthin got me! Haha not a creature, but my watch caught my eyes... “How could i be soo stupid?! MY WATCH WAS MY PHONE!!” damn, i cant tell u juz how amazed i was with the watch, it had touchscreen ability, 3 buttons on the side, a camera in the front, stores pictures, contacts n evrythin! Like in the pic above! So, i called a fren, n when i gathered wit them, i woke up...

After i woke up, i juz thought to myself... tht would b great if thers such watch... n i also said, impossible...

So, i guess u know wat made me post this rite? In case u havnt figured it out yet, THE F*CKING EXACT WATCH ACTUALLY F*CKING EXISTS! (note: the caps n the vulgar words were out of happiness not anger :D)

Today, went on the net to check my mail for awhile after my maths paper n landed on my home page, MSN UK. N wat caught my eyes was a section on top laptops, phones n etc... i decided to click on the laptops first to check out anything interesting... and sadly , no -.- then, i went on the top mobile phones, it was boring at the start, but number 24 got me! It was the same xact watch i wore in my dreams! I almost go crazy cuz i thot i was dreaming again! But its juz REAL! So, i searched it on the net n found this site!

HEY THERE!

I’m back in Singapore! Yay! Raya is closing in… tht means by b’day is closing in too! Haha…

Had a real tough day yesterday…

Date: 18^th September 2009

It was Nabhan’s birthday! So, I wished him early in the morning… anyway, continue on… I woke up in the morning n decided b4 I go hit the showers, I should really check my mail first… bad idea… I got stuck to the pc n xbox! Tht combination is DEADLY! Since its Friday, I’ve got to go Friday prayers. So, in about 12.30, I finally decided to hit the showers… unfortunately, I got stuck packing my back to leave for Singapore tht night -.- (I know, by this time I shud smell like a skunk bomb oredi. Haha. Thts too much mayb…) so, I finally finished packing at 1… I look at the clock n rushed into the toilet… took my time in ther to scrub out all the smell xD… n when I came out, “RING!” Fadzir called me.

Fadzir: Wei, ko kat mane?

Me: Jap nanti ahh…

Fadzir: Ko tak gi masjid ker?

Me: Blom lagi…

Fadzir: Dah abis sembahyang la!

Me: HUH?! DAH ABIS SEMBAHYANG?!

Fadzir: Tu ahh…. Hari ni awal skit…

And so on…

So, I changed into a casual clothing n wait for Fadzir to pick me up. We’re goin ou! N when Fadzir arrive, I went in to the car n *toot* sumthin happened… no comment on tht -.-

Off to OU now… it was short for me, cuz I muz be back b4 5:00 pm… so, we bought a movie ticket for a 3 o’clock movie n watched it… thts pretty much all for me… -.- then I took a cab home.

Reached home, it was raining heavily… I got soaked (a bit…. Haha)… went in the house, I noticed everyone was ready for Asar… and everything was packed up… xcept for some of my stuff. I rushed to the laptop n packed tht up after Asar… then, switch off unnecessary things n off we go to Singapore.

Hey!

Juz finished buka, n i cant really concentrate on studying now. So, i thought mayb id go blogging first. So, here i am... hav no idea wat to write really. But, like always, when i start typing, the idea come pouing in! Haha but im afraid not today... or at least not yet... Im juz gnna write on wat happened during today’s morning assembly n also wat happened after it.

The assembly was normal, but there are some slacks in some parts. Like en. Shamsul would say, “dun only hear, listen” or “i hear n analyse ever word you said on the stage n i notice evry mistake u made” , you shud probably notice tht the key word is actually ‘hear’. So, i too noticed a mistake (like wat i always do). At the beginning of the assembly, i din notice who was the prefect on duty. Then, after awhile hearing this cartoony voice person (one of my fren influence me on this, sry... forgive me :D), i noticed who it was, not gonna put a name here. On wit the mistake, during the morning prayers, she read “Oh Allah our god, please enlighten our hearts, lead us INTO TEMPATION and strengthen our results to be good students... (and so on)” its suppose to be “lead us NOT into temptation”. As en. Shamsul would say (again) “U see? Even a tiny mistake could change the meaning of the whole thing... (and so on)”

Now, on wit wat happend after assembly. NO! Before tht, the cheer was better today (finally some form 5s start cheering). Okay, we were released last... again... (i think adam hav some problem wit the form 5s not doing the cheer). Like always, the 5 arts were released first (lucky them)... they hav arts trial paper anyway... as the 5 arts ppl were moving in a mannerly order, thers this 2 ppl suddenly started walking before they’re allowed (well, this is quite normal actually...) . But, today en. Rosli was ther. He asked the 2 ppl to move back. “Pergi ke belakang!” thts wat he said. He repeated it several times “Pergi ke belakang! Pergi ke belakang!” then, suddenly... HE EXPLODED! “PERGI KE BELAKANG SAYA CAKAP! AWAK INGAT AWAK SAPA? HUH?!” (or sumthin like tht). So, the 2 ppl start walking... one moved to the end of the line n one juz moved to the front. Thers a moment of shock n silent... Then, en. Rosli started shouting to all of us...

En. Rosli: Saya nak semua dalam satu baris yg lurus!

Me (softly to iqbal): Kitoran pon kene buat gak ke?

Iqbal (softly to me): Ye la...

En. Rosli: Sekarang saya nak buat kerja bodoh sikit. Semua duduk!

Kalau manusia, at least ucap terima kasih. Tapi saya tak mintak terima kasih... saya mintak hormat sahaja... (and so on wit mostly the same repeating words).

the 5 sci 1s look soo innocent... haha! Yea! We are! We din do anything yet we also kene denda... wtf -.- i dunno wat happend after tht, but he should juz let them go too.

Lastly, i would like to apologise to anyone tht mayb got slightly hurt bcuz of this post. But, ive done my best to keep ur name off the post so ppl wont know who u are. My post today is not to discriminate any party or anyone. Sry again... signing out!

I juz came back frm school. it’s the first day of school after the one week + one day merdeka holiday... not really holiday tho, thers 4 days of xtra class for me... anyway, i came school late today cuz ive been sleeping late during the holidays... but, i still manage to get in line :) the assembly today was dull as it was raining and along with the usual long boring announcements. N yea, one more thing... the cheer SUCKED AS HELL!

Now ill do some rhyming to make it interesting. The day goes on as a usual Tuesday on a school day. Bio, full of boredom n words of wisdom. English, more exercises until recess. Agama, got our paper and revision later. Then comes reading wher i start searching, found a book then i took, its a poem collection n did i mention? I borrowed it to do some reading. Okay thts kinda lame -.- ill juz continue as normal from here. So, during reading i borrowed this book of Malaysian Poems and there this one poem tht really stole my attention. I strongly agree with most parts of the poem. It’s really meaningful to me. Showed it to some of my friends and all of them were touched. There are more good poems in there, even better ones in ther. But this one is made simple n easy to understand the big meaning in it.

Continuing on with school life, during add maths we learnt the last chapter n had officially finished the syllabus. Then, lunch... all Muslims gathered at the surau perempuan to hear Abdullah Azman delivering some ‘meaningful’ speech. At least uztazah was pleased by it :D after lunch, i had chemistry and we did some experiment. During the first period of chemistry i was soo active doing the experiment that by the second period i got a headache... so, i went back early bcuz of tht. Took a rest for awhile and start writing this...

From a lil device held in bed... o.O?

Hellow...

As u can see frm the title, (u most prbably cant understan wat im talkin about ther) the 'lil device' is actually my phone... N yea, im in bed.

Got used to sleeping late during the holidays tht i had to find somethin 2 do at this hr. N since im forced to go to bed (i am already ther), i think i shud juz try bloggin through a mobile device! Ther are some challenges tho...

First n foremost, the post appearence (font size, colours n etc...) its bcuz i cant really change font or colours here! Also, i dunno how the post will turn out cuz i cant preview it as it is on a pc.

Next, phone problems... Imagine ure finishing a 1000 words post, then suddenly, when u press submit, ur phone crashes! Personally, ill throw my phone on the ground (or mayb juz bed) repeatedly n give up blogging...

Lastly, it may not b a problem for most experienced bloggers, but it is for me. It is, u cant have a draft on a phone as u muz write down on the box itself. Me, i would write a draft of my blog post first on a microsoft word doc (in case my comp crashes or the web hav some prob) but on the phone, u cant really do tht cuz if the phone crashes, it wont restore ur draft doc or web page..

Ill end this post here since i hav to go to the toilet soo badly! Haha. Jk. Since i need my rest. Also, im not takin the risk of my phone crashing... So, hope u enjoyed it!

Hello again! Its 02:00:21 AM when i started typing this... typed it on a Microsoft word document for draft. Im damn boredddd, tryin to find some entertainment since i cannot play the XBOX 360 anymore....

On my phone, thers nobody to text or chat with anymore since sum1 i always text wit is ‘out station’ n also, look at the time! Also on my phone, tons of mobile games, same great one i already completed so i got bored of it n most r jus ther for show xD.

Next, on my pc, thers games, msn, myspc, facebook n this blog. I got bored of the games... n my bro asked me to try out this new online game called Dragonica. Its some type of 3d sidewinder with characteristics of a common online game. Downloading the client took me about 1 n a half hour. But opening the installation file, took me more than 2 hours! Its currently still installing while im writing -.-... on MSN, or better known as Windows Live Messenger, most of my frens went offline. But, thers this one guy acting bz and patriotic. Hes simply ignoring me for the reason “tgh download lagu satu Malaysia... yg 10 chosen sogs (he meant songs)... nak tau gak mane satu yg best” (jgn marah ahh Taka! Alamak! Tertulis name kau la... sry xD) [UPDATE: at 02:16:45 AM, right after the sentence before this, i finished the installation of the game, now gonna simply finish this blog post] Continue on, my myspc n facebook, i jus hav nothing else to do. Played mafia wars on facebook for awhile, but got bored. And finally, this blog! Its all i got for entertainment n stress relieving mechanism... (or at least thts wat i think when i started typing this... but now, looks like i cant wait to try out tht game)

Enjoying it? Haha! So here i am typing n updating my blog as i got nothing better to do (than trying out the new game)... So, i guess ill end it here since my boredom is cured :D. Hope you enjoyed it!
